Little Spotty

Introduction

Little Spotty is a lamb who hates his spots. He’s always the first to be found playing hide-and-seek, so he decides to hide somewhere far, far away. But when he meets a wolf, the shepherd must come save him. Even though Little Spotty looks different from the others, the shepherd still loves him very much.

The Moral of LITTLE SPOTTY:

There once was a little girl who had a birthmark on her face. When other people would look at her curiously due to the mark, she did not mind. She happily told them that her mother said that when she was a baby, an angel kissed her on the cheek and it left the mark. Our images of ourselves often depend on the attitudes of our parents. Most children learn about themselves through the criticism of those around them. Children whose lives are full of praise will learn about self-confidence, whereas children who hear criticism in their lives will only learn reproach. Therefore, if parents and teachers are more willing to accept children for who they are, just as Tony on the farm is able to accept Little Spotty, then children will be able to find the true place where their heart and soul belongs.
